About Amba
Sorcing Coffee
At Amba Coffee, sourcing is at the heart of our mission. We take pride in our
direct and transparent relationships with Ethiopian coffee producers, ensuring
that every bean we bring to North West Seattle is a reflection of the rich
traditions and quality craftsmanship that define Ethiopian coffee.
Our Sourcing Philosophy
With over 27 years of experience in international trade and a deep-rooted
connection to Ethiopia’s coffee regions, we have built strong, enduring
relationships with washing stations and farmers. These relationships are more
than just business connections—they are a commitment to quality, traceability,
and sustainability.
We believe in direct sourcing, which means we import coffee beans directly from
Ethiopia to the USA. This approach not only supports local farmers by providing
fair trade practices and better prices but also ensures that you receive coffee of
the highest quality, with all the unique characteristics of its origin preserved.
